Merge upstream/main: add IRC, Matrix channels and upstream improvements
Resolves 5 conflicts by keeping both our additions (MagicForm channel, ResponseMetrics, AllowedTools enforcement) and upstream's (IRC channel, Matrix channel, improved comments). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>

This directory is the working area for the current Agent refactor.

The purpose of this refactor is simple:

the project needs a smaller, clearer, and more stable Agent model before more Agent-related behavior is added.
